Welcome to my blog! I am a Virginia based photographer who regularly travels to shoot weddings and portraits for discerning clients looking for relaxed, natural and contemporary photography with a fine art flair.
Have fun digging through the blog. My blog is primarily a place to show off the fantastic weddings and families I have the privilege of photographing. I also like to throw in design inspiration and personal work. Thanks for visiting and come back often!
Entries in lovely things for Brides (14)
Aden Angier's handmade jewelry
I'm a serious Etsy Trawler. A few months ago I came across these pendants, hand made by Aden Anger, and I really, really like them.
These are fantastically detailed and quite large (about two inches across). I plan to order the circular pendant unless you beat me to it : )
I think these would look fabulous on a contemporary, fashion forward bride.

Find them here.
Carla Nuis
Fell in love with these. IN LOVE!!!!

I found them at Jordan Ferney's awesome blog via bblinks.
Luna Bazaar
It has been a while since I posted a fun internet find. Last season I shot a lot of tented weddings with wonderful Asian Lanterns hanging from the tent tops. This is a lovely way to add ambient light to an evening tented wedding.
Luna Bazaar is the online Lantern source I found with the largest variety of colors, shapes and sizes.

Wow! Those are some big photos of lanterns : )
A fun blogging story
Very early last year I blogged about some wonderful handmade hand bags I found online at Mynabags.
Later that Spring my gorgeous bride Molly had the ladies at Mynabags create lovely clutch purses for her bridesmaids out of the same silk dupioni their bridesmaid's dresses were made from. They were so perfect and wonderfully made.
I'm attaching some photos of one of the bags she had made.

But that's not all! Mynabags is having a super sale right now!
Bags regularly priced at $100 are marked down 70% or so. I just received two clutches and they are fantastic. I would show photos of them, but I'm giving them away for Christmas and don't want to spoil the surprise.

Lovely earrings for brides
Gump's is one of my favorite catalogs. Their chinoiserie and jewelry are fantastic. I think these simple pearl earrings (at every price point from affordable to !!!!!!) are truly gorgeous and timeless.
Find them here.

Something Old Something New
Is a wonderful resource for Brides. Mackenzie Sala has really great taste and is adept at finding lovely and interesting stuff for the soon to wed.
She found the amazing Jessica Fields rings I just blogged about. Thanks MacKenzie!
Check out her blog here.
Mackenzie is also an invitation designer. Please check out her gorgeous stuff here.

Jessica Fields
If I were to buy another band to add to my wedding ring wardrobe I would buy one of these. I think they are contemporary and classic at the same time, which is difficult to pull off! Plus they have that handcrafted vibe I adore.

Jessica Fields designs and fabricates these gorgeous rings and you can find them here.
It's Janie Day!!!
Janie's work and some of my photos are featured again on the Style Me Pretty Blog, another great inspiration blog. See the shots here.

I did not shoot the two images in the lower right corner. Unfortunately I can't work with Janie every weekend. Fantastic flowers Janie!!!
