Welcome to my blog! I am a Virginia based photographer who regularly travels to shoot weddings and portraits for discerning clients looking for relaxed, natural and contemporary photography with a fine art flair.
Have fun digging through the blog. My blog is primarily a place to show off the fantastic weddings and families I have the privilege of photographing. I also like to throw in design inspiration and personal work. Thanks for visiting and come back often!

Lindsay and Tim
Lindsay and Tim are both students at the Savannah College of Art and Design, and I was absolutely floored by the 'Save the Date' Lindsay is creating. I can't wait to share it with you! It will be a while, as I am shooting their wedding in October of 2009.
Until then, their engagement session, which was shot in my neighborhood on a lovely, but very cold day. It was wonderful getting to know Lindsey and Tim, and I am so excited by their upcoming wedding. It is going to be creative and lovely : )

Battery Operated Lanterns......
These are so cool! They last 12 hours on two AA batteries, and you can hang them ANYWHERE, since you aren't hindered by cords and outlets. They come in an 10 inch and 8 inch size. Best of all they are less than four dollars each....
Find them at the Paper Lantern Store.

They have many more colors online....
Skirt Magazine Hampton Roads
Has finally launched!! Kim Wadsworth is the editor of this stylish magazine, and I am very excited to be a part of it.

To learn about the fascinating women I photographed (here are a few) pick up a copy of this month's Skirt.

Brooke and Alex.....and ?
When I have the chance to do a maternity session I get excited, because they are so fun. Brooke and Alex are adorable. They brought Gerbera daisies to the shoot, because those were the flowers at their wedding (so sweet). And fingerpaints! So we decided to emphasize the mystery : )

Really want one:
Of these. Find them Here.

The Bride's Cafe
I'm honored to have a wedding posted over at my great friend Janie Medley's Bride's Cafe. Thanks so much Janie!
If you're visiting from Janie's blog, welcome!

I just saw these at Design Mom and fell hard. They are so clever, and I can see an amazing cupcake tower made with them.

Melissa and Ben at the Chrysler Museum
I have taken a bit of a break from blogging about weddings, and from shooting weddings. I have enjoyed the off season, but am ready to get started up again. Soon I will be shooting every weekend...
Until then, here is one of my favorite weddings of the year, Melissa and Ben at the Chrysler Museum.
Helga Macko created the gorgeous, imaginative flowers. Reva Stein coordinated the event and Cuisine and Company catered.
Beautiful Wedding Melissa and Ben!
